Continuing the dancing journey
We love to see all the children at ReelTots having fun and beginning to learn their first steps. As they get older and progress we are delighted when they are ready to continue their Irish Dancing journey and advance to our Beginners Class.
When is it time to move?
If you answer yes to all, or most of, the below questions then it is probably time to move up to our Beginners Class:
- Is your child aged 4 or over?
- Are they happy and confident to come to dancing class without a parent?
- Can your child do the basic 123 step (1 step, 2 step, up at the back)?
- Are they managing the clapping exercises, to the music, by themselves?
- Can they do the jump, hop and leap movements?
What should you do if you think your child is ready to move?
If you think your child is ready to advance to our Beginners Class, get in touch with Niamh so we can confirm a place in the new class.
When are your Beginners Classes?
Our Beginners Classes run on Tuesday evening at 5.45pm in Scoil Oilibhéir and Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in Luttrellstown Community Centre. Read more about our Beginners Classes here.
